  Most browsers and smartphones: Google’s own Chrome to Phone is great for sending links to your phone, but is restricted to Chrome and Android. Free webapp Site to Phone works with any browser, most smartphones, and requires no email registration.

  When you’re reading a page or two on your PC and realize you need to jump out of the house for a bit, it’s nice to bookmark that page on your phone for later so you can continue reading. Site to Phone does this in one tap, using a bookmarklet in your browser and a shortcut on your phone’s home screen. You don’t even need to use your email address to sign up. Just head over to their site, and enter the URL it gives you on your mobile device (the long number at the end is your ID, should you choose to forego using an email address). Once you do, it will take you through the rest of the setup process.

  When you’re done, it’s incredibly simple to use: just browse the web on your PC, and when you see a site you want to send to your phone, hit the Site to Phone bookmarklet (or Chrome extension, which lets you send pages and text from the context menu as well). Then, when you open up your phone and hit the Site to Phone home screen shortcut, you’ll jump right to the page you were reading on your PC.
